A protective piece of metal armour designed to be worn across the chest and
held in place with leather straps buckled around the back. It is curved and
bulges quite considerably in places, suggesting that the people these are
designed for are generally of an athletic and muscular build. At its centre
there is a large and elaborate engraving of three concentric circles.
