What appears to be a very large scrap of wood is, upon closer inspection,
actually a very effective shield for those who specialize in magic.  This
piece of wood is rectangular in shape with slightly rounded corners and
smooth edges.  Its dark color and heavy weight indicate the tree it was once
a part of was not only gigantic, but ancient and healthy as well.  Perhaps
this shield has other uses other than damage protection (and umbrella
potential).
