Item description:

A disc of pearly, polished krakken shell, the rough outer coating rubbed away
to reveal the shining, metallic luster beneath.  The disc is inscribed with
several warding runes against magic and spells.  A dozen other shards of
krakken shell have been linked together with lengths of sinew to form a chain
so it can be worn around your neck.
