A small white onion bulb has sprouted a tall green stalk. At the top of the
stalk is a cluster of smaller onion bulbs. As the bulbs at the top of the
stalk grown, they weigh it down so they that touch the groud. They can then
take root and the plant "walks" a few inches away.
