Item description:

This square wooden box is about five by four inches and one inch thick. One
side has a hole in the center to the hollow exterior of the box, the other
side has smaller holes on either side of where the big hole is. On the side
with larger central hole are two wooden frets on which an array of metal
tines or small bars have been laid. The bars are held in tension by a metal
bracket between the two wooden frets, so that they bow slightly in the
middle. The bars of various lengths. When plucked, each produces a musical
note. The bars can be plucked singly or in groups to form chords.
