This strange round
rock seems to have
had serious magical
capabilities, but
now there is only a
faint glow from its
core.  It is easy
to tell that this
was once a seeing
stone, for as you
peer into it, your
mind is filled with
vague images and
impressions of a
time long past. 
Upon further
examination, you
discover a small
hairline crack
along the surface,
and realize that
that is why the
fire has gone out
of it.
