Item description:

This is a long stick taken from a maple tree about two centimeters in
thickness.  Its purpose is made clear by the words carved down its length:
it is a wand containing the thistles spell.  Indeed, one end (where the
spell is emitted) is covered with a sphere of fine thistles, while the
other end is hollowed out.  This is where one places the seeds needed to
supply each activation of the spell when necessary.
