What a funny looking pair of glasses... it has two sets of slightly colored
lenses, one set in front of the other.  You notice no net magnification or
reduction of images looking through them, but through them, things look
twisted, slightly distorted and more real.  On each side the two lenses are
held fast in a thick metal frame.  Apparently this thing was built to last
the duration, and judging from the tarnish and dust you found on it, it has
been around for a long, long time.
