It's a long, two handed greatsword, heavy and large enough that you
have trouble picking it up, and all but a few of the strongest warriors
could easily wield it in combat. It is adorned with no gems or unusual
decorations - rather, the blade looks effective, and the guard looks
effective, and the handle looks effective and well worn.  This is a
device for making things dead, not for looking pretty or hanging on a
wall, and perhaps that's why it radiates an aura of awesomeness even
though you can't quite put your finger on why.
