Item description:

Light does not seem to reflect from the blade of this double-edged
sword. The blade and even the hilt look to have been crafted out of a
strange, jet black metal that appears to have become cold and dark with
the passage of time.  A heavy leather also of a jet black has been
wrapped around the handle.
