These boots are made of soft, supple leather, covered with thick plates and
slats of the fabled metal mithril.  The plates are tethered to the leather
with small metal rings and stitchings, and are also attached to the tough
soles of the boots. You get the distinct feeling that wearing them would be
good assurance against getting your toes smashed.
