Item description:

These are hard leather boots wrapped in strong steel plates. They are split
in the back to allow the wearer to slide their foot in. Heavy buckles allow
the boot to be tightly strapped. Bits and pieces of rotten, diseased flesh
cover the boots, making them slimy and smelly. It would take real courage
to actually wear them.
