Item description:

A heavy shield made out of black igneous stone.  It weighs a lot, go
figure. There are handholds on the inside made of the same black stone,
and the shield appears to be one solid piece.  When struck it rings like
fine piece of glass, indicating that while strong, the stone may be
crystalline enough to shatter easily.
