These boots are made of some strange black hide, no doubt taken from some
subterranean beastie that the kobolds hunt.  One hopes that, perhaps, for
all you know, it's the tanned and dyed hide of one of their victims.  From
the toe of the boots protrude long nasty looking metal claws.
