It appears to be the notes of a student of alchemy. Handwritten on the paper
is the following:

The first task of any apprentice here is to create a rainbow diamond, for
without it most of the old wizard's keep is inaccessible. All of the
necessary components are kept here in the alchemy lab. So far I've determined
that the scales of a creature with a petrification gaze must be added before
