This hide looks like a horse was split head to toe down the stomach, then the
skin was peeled off up to the backbone.  The edges are soft horsehide, but
toward the center hard reptilian scales begin to become prominent, until just
above where the backbone would have been there is nothing but a hard, scaly
reptilian skin.  The entire thing reeks of evil, and were it not for your
tendencies away from good anyway, you dont think you would be able to put it
on.
