Item description:

The breastplate is made of a translucent black material resembling flawless
obsidian. It has the smooth and flowing appearance of having grown into its
shape, rather than being cut or forged. Wicked-looking spines resembling huge
thorns protrude from the piece, giving it quite a menacing appearance. It is
oddly lightweight and seems slightly warm, almost as if it were alive.
