Item description:

These long chainmail gloves are made of a very fine mesh so as not to
hinder the fingers or movement.  A small yet sturdy clasp wraps the wrist
to keep them on, allowing for quick removal, but only if the user wishes
to do so. While useless against bludgeoning attacks, grasping and holding
weapon edges is no difficulty, and even the damage of points would be
greatly limited while wearing these.  When put on, a dull, almost
invisible reddish flame seems to lick the metal, but you can feel no heat.
