    Others:  Conan turns on a bunch of depressing music and moans about not being able to go to Hot Topic.

When targeting yourself:
    Self:    You go get a bowl hair cut and complain about how no one understands you.
    Others:  Conan gets a bowl hair cut and complains about how no one understands him.

When targeting someone else:
    Self:    You wonder why Sonja is acting all depressed.
    Others:  Conan observes Sonja acting all emotional and flipping out for no apparent reason.
    Target:  Conan wonders why you're so sad, and then comforts you.

When targeting someone else who isn't there:
    Self:    Now where did that loser go to?

When targeting an object:
    Self:    You pick up a mud school diploma wonder how you can make it look like it came from Hot Topic.
    Others:  Conan picks up a mud school diploma and proclaims loudly that it came from Hot Topic.
